Maybe it was the stacks of delicate layers interrupted by expertly chopped walnuts that made me think that making homemade baklava would be impossible. Not true. I found out that baklava is rather simple to make. The best part, I already had most of the ingredients at home.

Unfortunately, it ended up too syrup-y. Fortunately, it ended up too syrup-y.

The recipe tells you to cut it into squares. Yeah right, triangles.
